Quiz |

There will be a quiz in the beginning of each class. The quiz will cover the material you are responsible for the week. Failing to participate in a quiz will be considered as being absent from the class unless medical proof of illness is provided the week after. If it is possible, the teacher or the TA must be contacted prior to or during the absence. For each skipped class, 10% of the grade will be taken off from the relevant phase exam. Therefore, truancy will affect the grades considerably. No make-up quiz will be given at any rate. |

Assignments |

Homework assignments will be due in class on the due date. Students should turn in the assignments typed on A4 paper, 1.5 spaced, and in 12-point type. There will be one main assignment given in each phase during this semester, as explained below. Besides, if necessary, additional assignments will be announced in class. Please note, late homework CANNOT be accepted. |

Tell Me More |
15% |
“Tell Me More” is a computer program designed for students to practice English using a computer, which is required by this course. This service is offered only during 12:00 ~9:00pm from Mon. to Fri. in AV 104. There will be 12 different topics provided throughout the whole term. You are required to obtain a passing score of at least 500 for each topic. The practices can be done repeatedly. |
